Ellen Hughes-Cromwick
American economist
Ellen Hughes-Cromwick is an American economic advisor serving as a senior economist at the University of Michigan Energy Institute.[1] She previously served as the chief economist for Ford Motor Company for over 18 years, and oversaw the company through the 2008 financial crisis.[2] Hughes-Cromwick has been involved with the National Association for Business Economics for over a decade, and served as the association's president from 2007 to 2008.[2]
Education
Hughes-Cromwick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and French Language in 1977 at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.[2] Hughes-Cromwick then went on to complete a Master of Arts in International Development in 1988 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics in 1986 at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.[2]
